Soft Chalk

SoftChalk Lesson Builder is a web lesson editor that lets you create interactive web lessons without knowing any HTML or programming. With SoftChalk Lesson Builder, you can create

• interactive learning games, including customizable flashcards, matching games, and word searches.
• six question types: multiple choice, multiple answer (more than one correct answer), short answer, true/false, matching, and ordering.
• pop-up text annotations to define terms in your lesson, or to enhance the interactivity of your content.
  

To access SoftChalk:

• You must have a Blackboard account and course.
• The VCCS has placed Softchalk inside of the Blackboard Portal under Faculty Connect > VCCS Faculty Help site; this takes you to a Blackboard course site where you can access Softchalk as well as Respondus and Impatica. By clicking on Documents > S0ftChalk v2.
• On the VCCS Blackboard site where you can download SoftChalk, you will also find the Softchalk V2 Lesson Builder User's Guide and a document about packaging SoftChalk to Import into Blackboard.
