National Library of Medicine The site has access to Medline for online searches for abstracts of articles om various aspects of medicine.
National Institutes of Health On this site you can do a medline search and get access to some online journals.
Howard Hughes Medical Institute This site allows you to do a search on medical and research topics.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is the government agency that tracks disease, including infectious disease. A Premier site for researching emerging diseases. Note that many of the following listed sites are extensions of the CDC site.
The National Center for Infectious Diseases is a CDC site that lists many different infectious diseases by name and has links to information, including pictures, about most of them.
