Add Attachments

Adding An Attachment to a Message

  1. Click the New button to create a new message.
  2. The new message window opens. Look for a paper clip in the upper right corner of the new message window. This is the Add Attachment button.
  3. Click on the Add Attachment button.
  4. The Attachments Dialog box opens. Click on the Browse button to choose the file you want to attach.
  5. Click on the Add to List button. The name of the file will appear in the Current File Attachments box.
You can attach more than one file to an email message. The files that you attach will be listed in the Current File Attachments box. If you decide to remove one of the attachments, select it with your mouse and then click Remove.
  6. Click Close.

Opening An Attachment

Many attachments will open automatically. If an attachment does not open automatically, double-click on the name of the attachment.

NVCC's phone mail system will automatically send your phone mail messages to your email account in the form of a .wav file. The phone mail message will be an attachment to the email. To listen to the message using webmail, you must save the attachment to your computer and then open the file on your computer.

Saving An Attachment

  1. Pass your mouse over the name of the attachment. Right-click on the name of the attachment and choose "Save Target As."
  2. When the Save As box opens, choose the name, location and file type and click Save.
