Learning Forums
The Internet offers a variety of ways to create new means of communication among colleagues. Several types of online communication are available to enhance interaction. Email, blogs, listservs, newsgroups, discussion forums, and chats provide opportunities to learn tips from your colleagues.
We invite you to use our listserv, discussion forum, and blog to share expertise in the use of technology for teaching and learning.
1. TACSHARE
Join the TAC listserv, TACSHARE, for email discussions about the use of technology for teaching and learning.
- Send an email to Majordomo@listserv.cc.va.us
- Leave the subject field blank.
- Enter in the Message area: Subscribe TACSHARE your email address - EX:Subscribe TACSHARE csimpson@nvcc.edu
2. Online TAC Discussion Forum
Join the TAC Web-based discussions on the use of technology for teaching and learning through the Online TAC Discussion Forum.
- Email csimpson@nvcc.edu for a username and password.
- Locate the TAC Blackboard Course in your personal portal and click on it.
- Enter in the Message area: Subscribe TACSHARE your email address -
EX: Subscribe TACSHARE csimpson@nvcc.edu
3. TAC Blog
A blog is a site where the author can post articles and readers can freely comment. It can be an excellent tool to foster communication in the classroom.
