When building your Blackboard 7 course, you can use Folders to help organize the files and items that you add. In fact, how you present the information in your class can have a significant impact on how well your students use Blackboard.
Create a Folder
There are two ways to create folders in Blackboard.
Option 1 The Control Panel
From the Control Panel
1. Click on the area to which you would like to add the folder.
2. If necessary, navigate to the sub-folder in which you want to place the folder.
3. Click the Add Folder icon.

4. Enter a name into the name box.
5. Choose a font color for the name of the folder.
6. Enter a description of the folder into the text box.

9. Click OK.
Option 2 Quick Edit
Quick Edit saves you the time and trouble of navigating back to the Control Panel every time you wish to add or modify an item. When you are working in Content Areas, you can click the Edit View link to go directly to a page that allows you to add or modify items. For more information, click Use Quick Edit.
