Course Tasks
Use Blackboard's Tasks feature to create, organize, prioritize, and eventually post tasks or projects. Students will access Tasks by clicking the Tools button from the Course screen.
Tasks:
From Control Panel
- Click the Tasks link found in the Course Tools pane.
- Once in Tasks, click on the Add Task button
to create a task item. - Enter a Task Name and description of the task you want your students to accomplish.
- Enter the due date of the task.
- Assign a priority for the project.
- Click the Submit button.
- A list of the tasks with their due dates now appears.
- Click Ok to confirm success and return to Tasks page.
Tips:
- Should you want to see a list of your students and ascertain whether they have started on the task, click the task title.
- Should a student start and complete a task, the Status will be noted for that student.
To modify a task:
From Control Panel
- Select Course Tools
- Select Tasks.
- Select Modify to modify task information.
- Change any information for this task.
- Click on Submit.
- Click on OK to return to Control Panel Menu.
To remove a task:
From Control Panel
- Select Course Tools
- Select Tasks.
- Select Remove to remove task information.
- Are you sure you want to remove this Blackboard event? OK.
- Click on OK to return to Control Panel Menu.
