Content System
What is the Content System?
The Content System gives faculty and staff storage space on the Blackboard server where you can keep the files that you use in your Blackboard courses. For example, if you use the same PowerPoint presentation in 3 different Blackboard courses, you could place the PowerPoint presentation in a folder in the Content System and link to the presentation from all three Blackboard courses.
My Content
As a faculty member or staff member you have access to your own slice of space in the Content System. This personal slice of space on the server is called "My Content." You can store any kind of file in My Content- presentations, documents, spreadsheets, multimedia files, etc.
Your My Content folder can also serve as a file sharing system. You can set the permissions attached to the files and folders in My Content so that your colleagues can access and even edit them. Enabling Versions allows Blackboard to archive all of the different versions of the files that you store in My Content. You can also track who accesses a particular file using the Tracking feature.
