Adaptive Release

Adaptive Release of Content provides controls to release content to users based on a set of rules   provided by you, the Instructor. The rules may be related to availability, date and time, individual users and user groups (such as course Groups), scores or attempts on any Gradebook item, or review status of another item in the course.

To Set up Adaptive Release:

From Control Panel

  1. Click on Course Documents from within the “Content Areas” menu (or ANY Content area in Blackboard).
  2. Locate the course document you wish you to adjust for adaptive release then click the Manage button.
  3. A list of options will appear. Click on Adaptive Release to manage your settings for the document.

  1. There will be a list of options that appear:
  • The Date tool allows you to set up the time that content will be viewable to a particular student or group.
  • The Membership feature allows you to select which students you want to be able to view the material.
  • The Gradebook option allows you to set a minimum grade that needs to be achieved in order for material to be released.
  • The Review Status option allows you to attach documents that must be viewed in order to   view subsequent material.
  1. Now you will be brought to the Submit area where you must click submit for all changes to take affect.
