Blackboard Minimum System Requirements

The following hardware and software are minimum system requirements to work with the Blackboard application:

Platform: Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, or ME; MacOS 9 or MacOS X

Hardware: 64 MB of RAM, 1 G of free disk space

Browser: Client Browser Configuration Guide

Modem: 56 K

Software:  To open many documents saved in Blackboard, you may need MS Word  Reader or MS Word unless the document is saved as an .rtf file and Adobe Acrobat Reader if the document is saved as a .pdf file. For additional information about document sharing formats, go to http://itde.vccs.edu/commonwealth/support/docsharing/
