This site provides you with information and instructions on how to use Blackboard for your online, hybrid, or classroom courses. You may find it helpful to open two browser windows: one displaying this site and another showing Blackboard itself.

Blackboard is a course management system that is maintained by the Virginia Community College System. Blackboard is web-based, so there is nothing for you to install or download. All you need is an account and an internet connection. Blackboard works with both Windows and Macintosh computers. You can access Blackboard using most web browsers but it performs best with an up to date version of Internet Explorer.

You access Blackboard by using the same username and password you use to access NovaConnect. If you are still using the default password initially given to you, (your birth date) please go to the Change Password page. The default passwords are not secure. In other words, they are too easy for someone to steal or guess.
